Eyes Ii Poem by Alexander Thomas

Eyes Ii

Rating: 5.0

Through the entrance stone,
Into another dimension I was thrown,
Pulled beneath mystical oceans,
Of swirling, torrid currents of emotions,
Eyes swallowed me into their dark deeps,
Into chasms of memory where only moonlight seeps,
Trapped in the folds of time and space,
Your enchanting eyes my resting place,
I wander forlorn in this world,
On the sprawling carpets of dreams unfurled,
I am as lightning in your sky and waves in your seas,
Storms in your deserts but lost amongst your trees,
From yourself where do you hide,
Are you afraid to find me inside?
Will you always be a shifting shadow on the ground,
A ghost in the mist, on the wind an echoing sound?
To each other we were never strangers,
From one another there are no dangers,
We meet at the boundaries of our dreams,
Our tears flowing into subconscious streams,
To love's enigma words and reason fall apart,
All is possible with the magic of the heart,
The truth is seen but not said,
Open your mind's eye and into me don't fear to tread,
Into each other's world we can bring light,
And cast out the lingering darkness of the night,
Together we can make the flowers grow,
From the seeds of hope that we sow,
We can travel to the places that only consciousness can create,
As the mind is the key to an interdimensional gate,
Two eyes see more clearly than one,
So let two become as one!
