Eyes Poem by Jackie Chou

Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Your glance is brief.
I try to catch it in my hand,
hold it in my heart-
that ray of light radiating
from such a fleeting look,
drawing me in like a magnet.
Do you know the weight of it
on my fragile self-control?
Imagine direct eye contact,
from those deep, dark, shiny eyes.
I dare not return it,
fearing it might be lethal.
