Evolution Poem by Bireswar Halder

Evolution

I keep staring at the turbulent Lohit flowing before me
It's like a beautiful young girl with her hair tousled up,
Hands outstretched with melodious murmuring tunes,
Rushes for an ultimate tryst with her long waiting lover.

It's really entrancing when chilling winds touch my body
And a holy dip in the Parashuram Kund purifies my heart
I am bewildered with nature's picturesque beauty around
And I immerse slowly into another world full of peace and joy.

No languor, no tiredness, no way to look back any more
What an engrossing journey with a stream of hurdles ahead
But to sail from its source to the final destination
Is like being a silent witness to miseries of the millions.

Suddenly my inner vision gets unveiled miraculously
And I see everything is rushing towards it's definite goal
What peculiar cosmic attractions forcing all to move!
Ultimately none can avoid beckoning with mysterious hand.

I am also rushing towards my final goal fearlessly like the Lohit
A long wait will be over when I engage with the beyond
I will mingle with its immensity with no separate shape, no form
I will fade in the ocean—ever evolving, towards the spirit beyond.
