She winged into my life as a migrant bird
Her beauty held my breath
Cupid was all over me
But I faltered, was she an illusion?
...

I am out in a journey, on a long march
Aimless and wandering, I walked out
Mid-way, time took a toll and the goal lost its way
None stood as a beacon, the way looked endless.
...

Ah, this life, a bonded labour!
Bogged down by this deadly employer.
I am buried in my sweaty bones day and night
Alas! When will there be a relief from the plight?
...

The faithful horse neighs, in pain and silence
It licks wounds gifted by the inhuman master
But it can't express agonies, none knows its language
It works on, dutiful and obedient to master
...

Life is a long journey
But the terrain is not at all smooth
Full of uncertainties
Ups and downs
...

Tuck away vanity forever
Don't turn your face off
Come to me one last time
I shall be in the dark shadow
...

Dear mind, don't go haywire at the slightest scar
Move along the noble path you took long ago
The light and contentment you reap is your reward
All else are no match for the lofty mission you embraced.
...

I am that mother who once dreamt for you
While you played gently in my proud womb
That was a time I whispered hope into your ears
I rewrote my fate for you, my dearest son.

I deeply enjoy a natural beauty of the sunset
Twilight dispersing slowly before final dip into the sea
I fade somewhere else inspite of severe noises of billows
My heart fills with a divine pleasure in meditation.
...

No one to blame for your misfortunes, my dear
Because life is one of uncertainties, of dark and shades
We are fated to accept them boldly on way of our journey
Nothing is permanent here, so don't get depressed.

INSANITY FOR LOVE

My mind is no more with me, it's in the dumps
I don't know how can I recover it?
...

Let grief and pains shower on me
To cleanse all the inner stains
That divert one to a wrong path
And darken whiteness of soul.
...

What makes a human heart lose sheen to be a beast?
It's compassion, light and love for the other.
In how many ways can we say that we're not civilized?
What shames us, what makes us dark creatures of God?
...

I am a caged bird for so many years
The two legs are in tight chains
I always keep staring deep into the blue sky
And I wait eagerly for dawn of my liberty.
...

When I was mired in anguish and sorrow
And no light of hope breathed in despair
When utter gloom was stalking me all along
You were to me like a stick of the blind.
...

Let me burn continuously, like a candle
I’ll radiate light for all, those floundering in dark
Darkness is the curse you and I will long to escape
None feels the burn of a slender wick.

The plant nurtures its new born bud
It celebrates joy of motherhood.
You planted with hopeful pleasure
It whispers conveying you the message
...

Erosion nibbles slow in a steady march
It invisibly spreads cankers as wood-mites
It blithely runs as the world
Immerses in worldly pleasures.
...

Once the story was mirth and glory,
Of sweet memories and shared joy.
Peace ran deep in the family,
Life glowed everywhere, life smiled.
...

A bomb explodes, we take this lying down
It splinters, mangles bodies, cuts human life
Some become invalid for the rest of their lives
The devil dances in blood, on the fallen bodies.

A Migrant Bird

She winged into my life as a migrant bird
Her beauty held my breath
Cupid was all over me
But I faltered, was she an illusion?

Her poetic bust moved my heart
As if the earth spilled out all its beauty
Her blue eyes were a deep sea
With waves of gems and jewels

Mirage of gems I chanced upon
I dived into the glitter of the sea
But returned empty handed
I searched her as someone
Who glints in eternity?

Is love on my brow?
Again I will lead a vagabond life
No pity for missing you, my dear
Perhaps I'll win this love in my next birth

Alas! I will keep the pebbles in my heart
Be happy with that hope
I will treasure the pebbles as a token of love
Till my last breath, till we meet!
