Euthanize Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Euthanize

Euthanize

I am lost among words
Slaughter, genocide, grow, farm

I'm scared of digits, large figures
Hundreds and thousands, millions

I don't like pollutions; the rivers of blood
I am god, transform, once a man, once a rock

I'm Greek, ancient Zeus; metamorphose
I become chicken, hen and turkey, cow or ox

I am now one of birds
My nose runs; I am sick,
I have flu, avian; I caught it; and pass on
I'm detained like my kind, millions, behind bars

I am changed; farm owner
I'm losing; all my birds
I seek cure, and need help
Comes Order: "Euthanize and kill them."
Metamorphose, back and forth
The owner, government, two legged or four legs
Hear question "Are you a human? "
I am a murderer; I feel shame.

In dream I see birds; I see cows and oxen
I see them united; they attack to revenge,
Rivers run; the Nile is full of blood,
I see waves and honest to myself: "I deserve."
Who wrote rule "Man can kill, "?
Why not them do reverse?

You chickens in BC
I have full sympathy
Those who kill are cruel
I'm glad I am far, I hate this
How would I stand watch?
