Eternity’s Dream (For Den..17/11/06) Poem by Steve Slimm

We are the shadow of an angel
Moving out across the land.
We are a foaming crested wave
Breaking in toward the sand.
We are a rainbow arched in delight,
Whose colours remain in the eye.
We are the sun and the moon and the stars
That make no room for the question ‘why? ’

Out from the Mystery we arrived
And back into Mystery we return.
Oh wondrous gift of Birth into Time;
And mysterious gift of Dying!
As all the while we Live in One;
And Life goes on
And Love goes on
And on and on and on.


And you've been that angel’s shadow

And all that Eternity dreamed.
