Escape Poem by Bill Cantrell

My poem is much too heavy,
to place upon these lines
My pen, it vomits when I write
I tell my friends, I'm doing fine
I thought to make it as a song,
yet, who would ever care to sing?
Much heavier than metal,
they would not understand a single thing
I asked the diary, give me peace,
let my burden rest in you
It locked itself and spoke in fear,
I cannot hold another tear
I will give my poem some time to think,
then maybe I can find the key
I know there are poets who understand,
the other side of a poem set free
But when it comes down to it all,
it is inspiration which is the key

In such deep melancholy tone you sing but I know one day you're heart'll sing of light and inspiration again! .. Beautifully expressed! .. Definite 5 Stars! ..+++++
