Epilogue Poem by Ranjini Mohan

Epilogue

Rating: 4.5

Embers of dying fire glow
Red and bright for a moment
The warmth touches its fingers for a while
And then slips into the darkness
Beacons …. On the cliffs of time
Like embers, they glow and fade
Can fireflies light up the darkness?
The darkness of the everlasting night
Labyrinths of space and time
The distant view of hope fades
Alone in the gales of despair
Blinded and lost
Darkness to darkness
Is where light leads
Life is but ephemeral
We search, we lose
