Enlightenment Poem by Brian Matico

Enlightenment

Candle waxing parted thighs
Seers the skin—wild cries
Red hot flame—burning bright
Deep within it’s pure delight
Silken skin—flesh of red
Incoherent words you’ve j said
Candle fervor fiery flushed
Shooting passion—breathing hushed
Control is lost—one last lunge
Candle melts—takes the plunge
Melted wax upon the skin
Softened candle—unspoken sin
No place to run-No place to hide
Ravished walls abstruse inside
Candle out—and put away
Ready to light maybe later—— or another day
Candle still-—labored sighs
Silent voids- Silent cries
Darkness returns where once was light
One more day drifts in to night
