Enjoying Sicilian Togetherness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

"That's amore" playing all the time when just a child,
a Sicilian family enjoying our togetherness as we ate,
talked and played with all our cousins late at night.

We kids would make up many gestures to go with songs,
causing the adults to laugh until they had tears in
their eyes.

We children were encouraged even more so as we giggled
and laughed together, having such a great time, wanting
it to go on forever.
