Enchanting Story Poem by Monlano Amir

Enchanting Story

I'll tell u an enchanting story
Of a beautiful fairytale
Once upon a time
In the Greek forest of Dale
A nameless baby girl was born
With deep sea-blue eyes
She had an old soul
And knew all truths and lies
From a very young age
She knew what her future beheld
And for her frightening words
At school she was expelled
For years she walked the roads
And in villages she spoke
Her reputation as a fallen Angel
Increased among the peseant folk
And at the ripe age of twenty
She told of a coming war
She said that the bloodthirsty Vikings
Would disembarak at the Eastern Shore
News got to the mighty king
Who did not trust a woman's word
And so he sent his son the Prince
To confirm what he had heard
The Prince walked in disguise
To the woman who told the tale
And asked her if the war they'd win
But she said that the king will fail
So he asked her what she knew
But her deep blue eyes shone
And she told him in secret
That he would not inheirt the throne
The Prince grew alarmed
At the knowedgle in her voice
He asked her what could he do
But she told him it was his choice
So he brought her to the king
So he could believe her tale
And when the king shook his head
The Prince knew he would not prevail
The Prince kept the Angel close
To see what else she'd say
But not a word or a whisper
Crossed her lips all day
And finally, deep at night
The Vikings had arrived
They killed the King and Queen
But the Angel had survived
The Viking Lord asked her why
The Prince had kept her by
She told him of her reputation
And how she knew all truth and lie
The Viking laughed just then
And mockingly did he ask
What his fortune will be
If she was up to this task
Her eyes became cloudy
And her voice shook with truth
She said that he would not live long
For he will be killed by a youth
And sudden silence enveloped the hall
'I'll slit your throat, ' the Viking Lord said
The Prince then burst into the room
And brought his sword down on the Viking's head
The youth fought those in the hall
He charged vigourisly with a roar
'The throne! ' The prince heard
And saw it tumble to the floor
And when everything settled
He knew the woman was right
He would never sit on the throne
For he was a warroir and would fight
With an odd twist of fate
The Prince named the woman his Queen
She would rule in his stead
Since she had wisdom and was keen
And they lived happily ever after
The kingdom was in peace
For she had known her future
To become Queen of Greece
