Encapsulated Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Encapsulated

Nothing attracts like Hope Beacon
encapsulating as it does
Dreams Futures and Meanings
our pasts too reluctantly towed
in our Now
with all those Hostages to Fortune
as well

to be righted twice more.

Hope's reviving
sparkly
revives us from stupor
from despair
from deep cringes
mistakes
and The Dank.
We are miracle risen
released from dead psyches
from chained mental tortures
despairs flowing away
ethereal now, rather than burdening

Hope is healing

an instant miracle
a blessed consciousness
which we all need.

Those without Hope
succuomb all to easily
to Evil
and therein lies the problems
of the world
encapsulated.
So Give
if you can
the Gift of Hope
this season.

Such creative employment of language to create imagery that captures the reader's attention and draws us through the valleys and shadows to emerge on the crest of hope and light. Excellent work, good poet! Bravo.
