Emulation Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Emulation

Rating: 5.0

Oh oak tree, that lately held
acorns like nesting creatures among
your sturdy branches, listen now
to chirping birds sweet with song.

You weather the wind, and friend
of coons and squirrels and grouse
bearing your foliage and greetings,
now rest quietly in this adopted house.

We emulate your reputation in our hearts,
assuring that your grandeur will never cease.
Your presence is an example of hope and faith,
Oh oak tree, of reputable strength and peace.
