Empty Dreams Poem by Antony Terrence

Empty Dreams

You wake to the light, while I embrace my death.
You go onto the way of light
I to the dark while the dogs bark.
You meet your girl and mine busy weaving
Her world, when death hugs and I curl up in bed.
You go to the world of bliss and sunshine
I, to the world of dreams and empty wishes.

Oh dreams! You are a better mistress
To the man who is more dead than alive,
And to the one who never opens the 'eyes'
but lives, in the 'dark', as still as death.
But Life, a friend to the one who clasps the dreams.
