Emotional Existence Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Emotional Existence

Around
and around
I fly, watching
and hoping for
my happiness to
appear; in this abyss
amidst all the stares from
hate filled eyes of those yet
unfulfilled souls trapped with
me… in this emptiness, never
to experience the thrill of a
calming experience that
would bring any sign
of my happiness
returned to me
And I cannot escape
this instantaneous insanity
for IAM destined to remain a
prisoner to this static exist
tied tightly to the pole of
emptiness, within my
emotional existence.
