Embrace Poem by Midifo Yearns

Embrace

Your form is sweet and deep your eyes
your body calls in my desires
I look, I long; I cry in song
to touch and hold and let you mould
my shape to yours, as we embrace;
I feel the contours of your face
that gently kisses me to life and drowns away
my pain and strife.

O God to touch you now is pain,
to let you take me will be gain
of all that I could ever be
when wrapt so closely Lord to thee.

I know not how but in my being
I feel caressed, and as I writhe with sheer delight
I know that love has conquered night
and with your hand, that touches deep,
the cost of love is but a sleep away
from waking to the bright new day
of knowing you and being yours...
