Egyptian Poem by Rita Johnson

Egyptian

Egyptian sun high in the sky
the memories fly the aqua of the Canel sapphire bright
thou heart does die but knowledge lives in the past
it provides of Egypt my heart beats brights
my soul does linger in thou mystery
my past left behind does harbour there
parents look down from beyond
At their children's smiles
Emplanted there
Their mothers fathers joy embracing circling empowering them
The land is etched in glories past
And the blood drenched sand weeps from battles lost
