Ego Poem by MYK NWACHUKWU

Ego

Ego do not get approval of others
Ego is usually suspected to display
Exaggerated sense of self-important
Ego is always frowned at displaying
Inflated opinion of self-worth
Ego is always seen as exhibiting
Superiority complex before others
Ego do not get approval of others
Because they sense his ego-seeking worth is inappropriate
His ego is so high that he is likened to be the bride
At the wedding ceremony
His ego is so high that he is likened to be the corpse
At the funeral ceremony
Ego is identified with possessions:
None of which is you

Ego do not get approval of others
Ego is usually suspected to display
Exaggerated sense of self-important
Ego is always frowned at displaying
Inflated opinion of self-worth
Ego is always seen as exhibiting
Superiority complex before others

Jealousy is ego's stuff
Ego is unfortunate to serve three harsh masters:
Consciousness
Memory
Control
Ego is required to reconcile the claims of his masters
Ego is required to meet up with the demands of his masters
Suppressing one's ego completely for hours
At times of success is really hard
For fame and rumor are nothing but toys.
