Edina-1 Poem by shuvo chakraborty

Edina-1

We should not rue for twittering dawn and for a speaking days,
For rising sun, for full moon night or for high peaks and sea,
For visiting of dearest, invitation by an acquaintance or a surprise call
And for any warm invitation, ceremonious gatherings with limitless babblings.
Since our self seeking exile from indifferent earth eludes us
To reorchestrate those bygone events and lively moments
In this absolute vacum, a blank kingdom of astronomical wonders.
Here waves of joys and sorrows and pining for better tomorrow
Have indecent graves among unruly astroids with inscriptions all in dark letters,
Warm exchanges of teenaged heart, shuffling of hopes and disappointments,
Rising of midnight waves and hushed voices of carnal knowledge
All fall flats here like snowy flakes over studded icy white field
And disappear within boundless void like marching clouds over the horizon.
This is a strange part of undefined universe, looks like a gigantic planetoriam,
Far beyond human imagination and surmises, hold us motionless and frozen
Like a witch to the children with magic ball that defies even the mothers call.
Here no ceremonial relations blossom with wealthy vaunts with immense laughter,
No merchant of highest treasures is found trading the golden dreams or rare found gems
Or any scope to derive immense pleasure wearing diamond ring
Displaying platinum or golden fineries courting kinship of metallic hearts,
No yearning of loving souls can solemize their vows in unison.
Only the wealth of substance one can gain in this mystic place,
That is the salvation from earthly pains and treacherous disappointments and love unsubstantial,
Walking continuous over this milky way to find the last milestone of a light year.
