Edging Forward Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Edging Forward

Heading towards another midnight on tempos of rhythms
that entice and inspire mind and heart while looking
for anxious statements held back.

Not wanting anything to provoke silent tears tonight,
edging forward, telling it like it is in twilight,
turning from the natural way of evening.

Looking always for a way out of the limelight at
every step, not looking for fame of notoriety for it
doesn't fit in with a life of solitude.
