Easter Beh Dar Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Easter Beh Dar

Easter beh dar

I question many dates
And western calendar

Foolish is April-Fool
New Year, December

What is so different?

Stop and look over
Better were past cultures
The ones that were forced
To die or be ignored,
They all had reason
Something changed with season…

I see the Swedish, Portuguese
Spanish, Russian and British
Even the Turkish and
Of course the Arabic
The Persian and Greeks
And others

Power made them shit:
"We are best; hell to rest! "

Easter was so lovely
The Persian out, camping
April-Fool of Iran
(out must go the sizdeh) .

People went to parks
Having food in the sun
Walk and talk to have fun.

It was so exciting…
Till Lahore
Disaster…
