Early Confinement Poem by Kestrel Quiambao

Early Confinement

Sunshine, sunshine turns darkness
My life within your nothingness
Horrified, immobilized, uncivilized mind
I can see as I am blind
The sorrow consumes me occasionally
Fantasy traps me from reality
Are you hiding, hiding in the light
Lost, found, devastated by the heart's fight
Free me now, destroy me later
Feed me now, do me a favor
Cast me out of this confinement
An early burden, a coffin's compliment
I've played the song so wrong
The crowd has screamed so long
Can't you see the burden in me
Would you take the chance, to set me free
