Each Side Has Its Risks Poem by Shalom Freedman

Each Side Has Its Risks

Rating: 5.0

Each side has its risks
Do nothing and die suddenly from a rupture
Operate and be disabled by one of many complications
Watch and wait
And perhaps it will be too late
Accept the authority of the doctors
And ignore what you alone know about yourself
Defy the doctors and be a layman fool
Who really does not understand and know what he is doing
Make a decision now and relieve yourself from the stress of indecision
Make a decision now and ignore changing reality that might have the answer
For now I do not know what to do
And wait in worry
Until the next moment of decision comes
And I am helped to choose
The better risk.
