Duso*
DUSO*
This star
was born with you
enclosed
within your breast
(it is your namesake)
to follow you
through life
and die only with
your own death.
Burn brightly
with the love
you are
made of.
Burn brightly
make love
the only thing
worth
living for.
*Duso....meaning “Love”...but literally “Soul” in Serbian.
In Serbian mythology we are all born with a star that goes with us through life and leaves us with our Death.
For One whose birthday it was...lately...I send belated well wishes.
