Dull Poem by Elisha De La Rosa

Dull

Everything's dull just like your crimson blade
When glass breaks its marks that you've gone insane?
What if the sky remains gray?
Tears feel like falling but they stay.

The rain falls down pounding on your head
You'll put your broken body on the bed
I never meant the harmful things I said
I the blade speaks, 'Punish me, and use me again'

My heart tinted by nightmares
My dreams blackened like the eclipse
I drain your joy like a vampire
The wings of this dreamer has been clipped

You breakdown against my pointed words!
I'm killing you; I don't know how much it hurts
So please if you ask for redemption,
This blade requires attention

Hurt me, torture me, and get your revenge
Do anything so you can be forgiven
Sharpen thy blade that returns the favor
I'll return to you all that you can savor

I need cleansing to sharpen my thoughts
If you use me, you confidence begins to rot
So please stop using me like this
I don't want your pain for the fly's bliss

My actions, my words, my love is dull
Sometimes I wonder am I a fool
This swirl of pity and guilt spins around my mind
I guess that's you, reminding me of your hard time

Don't touch me, just let me go
I create the death that is so slow
Forgiveness does not rely in me
Only to the flesh around thee

Don't take your pain on your self
Clear the skies for tonight
Hiding under the dark clouds
Won't get you peace and sound

You're the dull blade that's need sharpening
Get it straight, don't do the cutting
Because, I'll hinder you and may take your life
Let go of this crimson knife
