Drowning In A Sea Of Corruption Poem by Hebert Logerie

Drowning In A Sea Of Corruption

Close your eyes hermetically, so you can envision them
All around you, my dear friends; they walk like lazy hens
These praetorian politicians behave like a bologna and ham
Sandwich. And they lie more like the fat gorillas in the dens.

They're on CNN, ABC News, WPIX, CBS, NBC and Fox News
Oh! Also in the New York Times, Wall Street and Reuters
These rodents are all over the airwaves. Be super attentive
Listen carefully and intelligently, and be ready to perceive.

We're drowning in a sea of corruption surrounded by sharks
Be brave! Don't mince your words and your visceral remarks
Danger is everywhere. The smell of death is noticeably strong.

Call on the good angels.Wake up them up to stop the nightmare
Be perspicacious! Open your ears and eyes. Don't be afraid to dare
To contemn, and to challenge. At this stage, you can never be wrong.
