Drift Poem by Yawar Maajed

Drift

A solitary speck,
Traversing a lone orbit,
Embarking on a singular journey.
Bound in servitude,
Heartbeats echo in the cosmic void.

One force, one impact,
Yet diverging in its essence.
Should this captive journey halt,
Should the lure of ambition fade,
Should the saga of pursuit near its twilight,
Shadows of orbits then swell,
In pursuit of new illusions.

Seeking another vessel to enslave,
Another force to bear,
And yet another path, diverging evermore.
