Autumn Never Rusts Away Poem by Yawar Maajed

Autumn Never Rusts Away

Rating: 4.8

Abandon the mirage of a thousand nights,
For centuries, I've strived to manifest a singular dream.
The colossal wish harbored in my heart
Is but an insatiable curiosity,
Longing for the moment it finds its haven.

Yet that moment, that harrowing moment,
When heart's desires converge,
Melding into a singular grief,
They drape themselves in mourning's garb
Amidst the icy clasp of time,
Leaving a patina of rust upon my world.

Spring beckons from distant dreamscape gardens,
But autumn, relentless in its hold,
Refuses to succumb to decay.

Faith keeps those that keep the faith - Mother Teresa. A lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9
