Dreams Poem by Oluwagbemisola O. Lawal

Dreams

Rating: 5.0

In the realm of dreams, where shadows ignite,
Tales unravel in the hush of the night.
Visions in flames, illuminating the dark,
Carrying whispers from a world stark.

No mortal knows, where these visions reside,
In silent slumber, when we've died inside.
A journey embarked, with no compass or map,
In the theater of dreams, reality takes a nap.

We float in a sea, where moonlight weeps,
In the quiet arms of the night, when the world sleeps.
Dancing with specters, in a ballet so grand,
In the depths of the mind, where dreams command.

Only God, the eternal puppeteer,
Awakens us each morn, dispelling fear.
Carrying us back from the phantom's clutch,
From the world of dreams, we've come to love so much.

Where do dreams come from? Where do they flee?
In the canvas of mind, or the depth of the sea?
Are they lost in the stars, or caught in the breeze?
Or perhaps, they're the whispers of the rustling trees.

When dawn breaks, they retreat from sight,
Back into the abyss, away from the light.
Yet in our hearts, their echoes remain,
A symphony of joy, sorrow, love, and pain.

In dreams, we wander, we explore, we fly,
In dreams, we live, and in dreams, we die.
Through dreams, we touch the divine unseen,
In the quiet, we understand what dreams may mean.

So let us dream, in silence, in sound,
In the sacred space where dreams abound.
For in dreams, we are free, in dreams, we're alive,
In the realm of dreams, our spirits thrive.
