Dream The Moon Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Dream The Moon

Dream the moon Oh! Man! even in the noon
A moon that never wanes and remains cool
With the moon in mind subtle becomes the scorching sun
even heat waves appear soothing and comfortable
Attained our ancestors such astounding perception
Displayed this mindset through accommodating practice
They conquered the worries and controlled the mind
Mind is the factory manufacturing many desires
Unattainable desires always become worries
Rests never the mind with existing teasers
tortures more with sprouting new desires
Torments the brain and tangles the wisdom
Mind never lets peace to prevail over it
Let not the wisdom taken for any ride
fix the mind on nothing worry not anything
