Dream Girl Poem by Sedale Salera

Dream Girl

Rating: 2.7

I wake up one morning to see
The most beautiful girl in the world, right next to me
She says good morning and gives me a kiss
Already it makes my day because of her lips
Everyday is like this, but today is special
Today I get on one knee to make a proposal

We get ready for our date at the fancy restaurant
I’m worried about the ring; she’s worried about what she wants
Can’t wait to see her reaction when I ask her to be wife
Today will be the beginning of the rest of our lives

At the restaurant I’m am so nervous
But I’m confident because my love for her is endless
Then in the middle of our dinner, I get on my knee and propose
She looks shocked and happy, she’s going to say yes I suppose
Everyone looks, getting ready to applaud
Then everything goes dark, this reality is a fraud

Then I wake up from my dream, alone in bed
The memories of my fiancé will never leave my head
I hate when I see my paradise, its all lies
Now I must return to my slumber, with tears in my eyes
