Doomed Poem by Shruti Goswami

Doomed

Rating: 5.0

At war with the world,
For I’ve never known inner peace,
Restless and resentful,
For I’ve never known happiness.
I seek approval, hither and thither,
For I have never known confidence,
I am curious, of all things right or wrong,
For I’ve never known discretion.
Doomed, am I?
Into the gallows of confusion;
Consolidation of facts and figures,
Never lead me to a logical conclusion.
I am headstrong, and emotional,
For I’ve never known logic.
I wait for an end unknown;
For I’ve never touched the shore,
I wish that I should be awakened,
On an ethereal dawn by the petrichor.

Well articulated poetically. The fogs & mists of the mind...dichotomies galore. Hope to read some more!
