Don'T Tell Me Poem by Barbara Thaxton

Don'T Tell Me

Don't tell me you love me,
When you know it's not the truth,
Don't tell me you care,
I need some solid proof,
Show me that you care,
Don't be scared to share,
That little extra touch,
For me it's just enough,
to touch my knee,
to kiss my cheek,
The feelings I get make my heart skip a beat,
I want to feel your arms around me when I wake,
I want to feel your warm embrace,
I don't know why I feel like this,
It scares me that I do,
So don't tell me you love me,
When you know it's not the truth,
And don't tell me that you care I need some solid proof.
