Don't Pretend Poem by Pranab Kusum Dutta

Don't Pretend

Nevertheless,
Dear this is not the end,
Don't say good bye
And don't you pretend-
I am nobody to you anymore.

Priceless..
Those memories are, on the sea shore,
Under the moon, shut down the door,
Driving the car…
Watching the Pole star lurking above..
Love flourished hence,
And there we go far,
Those memories are…

Lurking above…
Falling apart!

Though something's been broken a bit,
Breaking a heart..
But..
For sure, together we can mend.
Don't say goodbye
And don't you pretend-

I am nobody to you anymore.
