I stood beside the bed
Waiting and hoping for the best
Your eyes began to twinkle
I finally took a breath
And then your eyes began to shut
A teardropp down my cheek
All I could see was a straight line
That was enough for me

I began to reconnect our memories
I cried and cried again
Couldn't forget, no never
But when that time came for me
I would feel your pain the same

I would never forget you,
For the time
All I can say is
'Don't forget to wait for me.'

And slowly she too began to close her eyes…
