Do not hunk
I slow with "Amber"
To stop when it turns.
Since, enjoy zebra lines,
My best is a "Red Light"
When stop, look around!
Encourage eyes: "Work hard"
Invite the "Brain", "Thoughts, "
Advise them with delight:
"Watch, observe, verify…"
When a girl walks across
Look at her and her size
Head to toe, thin? plus?
And think of what she thinks
Holding phone, speaking
To Giza of ancient Pyramids?
She sees not any of
Vehicles that we ride,
Nor thinks of the past life.
I dream of Dad's time;
The parts that I recall,
So, please, do not hunk.
Though let go of brakes
After the change of light
In times I, remain locked
With what is on my mind…
New shoes of our beast
Meant packing for trip
To closest city…
Traveller would hope to
Visit the metal smith
Right upon arriving.
Unlike girl on zebra
Had no way to a call
To plan the time right.
He would need food to take
Which, packed, set on saddle;
Some dried, some fresh.
The rest was all by luck!
Could be the first with him
Or could find the door locked:
"Have gone to cemetery."
"Hey lady, will you please
Look to left and your right
While walking, go forward? "
Want to say, but the hunk
From the car behind
Breaks line of my thoughts.
Half of me is in past
The city-half is halved
By hunker, pedestrian.
Smiling to green, I think of
The times and characters
In the past, present.
Though they are different
All are same; like this girl.
Each of them lives in cave
Of his/her time, culture…
Everyone lives in den
Of own time, location
With the things required
And the tools available.
My smile widens and
Laugh to my stomach.

Look to left and right and encourage eyes. An excellent poem is beautifully penned.10
Thanks once again, as before and forever.
