Discovered Poem by Kay Davies

Discovered

I was discovered once,
I once awoke in a cold silky box.
Lined with purple silk,
Was a box in which I awoke.

6 feet below,
Yes, I know.

My thoughts followed a fairly calm path,
We are supposed to be burried after we are dead.

I thought about calling out for help,
Pleading for someone to hear me, To find me.

But this was peaceful,
So I rolled over and began to relax.

I was discovered once,
Brought out of my box lined with purple silk,
Now I am out of my peaceful box,
My soft, comfortable box.

The light out here is to bright,
The noises to noisey,
The smells to smelly.

I was discovered once,
Yes, Once discovered I was.
