Disco Tree Poem by Adeline A Roberts

Disco Tree

Disco tree in the night sky
Won't you dance
Dance for me

Shake your leaves
Like a wild child
Wave them here
Sway them for me

Disco tree

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i was sitting in a classroom on the last floor of my classroom block during a black out a night. A flashlight was shone from the second floor down to a tree below. The wind started to blow heavily on the tree that it looked like it were dancing in a spotlight.

i liked this one also and enjoyed your note about it. about 35 years ago i took my wife to a discotheque and, , while i tried to dance, i accidentally hit her in the face..i think with my elbow. ouch! i probably should just dance disco with trees. thanks for sharing.
