Different Like Me Poem by Patty Rose

Different Like Me

Amongst a forest
tall trees sway
slow wind whispers
one continues to bow

As sun filters through the trees
upon not all does it shimmer and glow
winking and dancing on their leaves
dew drops fall and glimmer so

For in the shadow of other trees
lies another in darkness unseen
abundant ferns of emerald deep
northern rain falls as she weeps

Stormy wind blow in dreary grays
for then they again will sway
stormy wind blow across their leaves
now all are different just like me
