Different Breed Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Different Breed

Different breed

-no, never…
I slammed my fist and
Raised my voice saying loud:
-I never want your tax!
-nor payment of others!
-I am man with pride
-rather die than live on
-what comes of…
I said so just because
-they advise:
-you are a senior
-they pay you for your age!

-Go F-off
-I better go and die
-than living as beggar
I say and am ready
To take pill of cyanide
Anything to commit suicide
Than…

And mean it.

Hair stands on skin
Feel goosebumps when talking
Of such a leech-like life!

But will it last for good?
Hope to die
Not to see, nor try
Do not like it reverse…

He found it strange;
-how can you?
-why reject?
-it is law.

Concrete I remained in reply.

-you differ in breed!
Said Terry.
