Die For You Poem by Nick Downer

Die For You

I always said I'd die for you
and you killed me.
now we're both ghosts
immortal in scars,
even those belong to you.
Tears from my eyes
fall, mix with human blood.
Memories are eternal
even when the spirit dies
and it's those memories
that finish the job
you started.
Just let me go
and fade away from you
but your ghost
still haunts me
and won't let go.
