Dictator Moves Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Dictator Moves

The press.
Expressed.
To be the enemy,
Of law abiding people.
Those with freedoms.
And entitlements to believe,
Them to be diminishing...
As others unworthy,
Receive more with less to leave.
Overwhelming once normal lives,
With told lies to deceive.
Using the press to claim it faked.
These are the moves,
A wannabe dictator makes.

Suburbanites.
Surviving on rights.
To feel them threatened.
Because nonwhites,
Are the enemy...
Of their deluded fantasies.
These too are dictator moves.
Used to trick those easily fooled.
Leaving one 'Hitlerized',
As their chosen victor.

One wishing to eliminate,
Truth to rule and over it control.
One wishing to eliminate,
Peace.
To introduce fear as a goal.
Reducing democracy.
And conscious minds too!
Using duping as a tool.
For the purpose to abuse and rule.
The end result those unsuspecting,
Of this..
Yet to get with each effective step.
On the backs of followers to fool.
With dictator moves.
