Diamonds Poem by Patience

Diamonds

Rating: 5.0

The poison feather reminds you, you're alone
And that without its soft spot you'd have nowhere to go

Frozen in the searchlight, burnt from the glare
that shines through the break in the strands, so you're aware
that today it is sunny, and another night will pass,
then the fear will consume all the light in the room

Who cares if what they say makes you cry?

And who has time
to retrieve
the diamonds in the rough?

Who has time?
If they're authentic, they'll survive.
