Diamond Poem by Trudy Kotze

Diamond

In all Fairness
He may have been a Diamond in the Rough
But his Hunger for Life
and Thirst for Laughter
Polished him into a Glistening
Jewel
Fit for a Queen

He brought Happiness in a tattered bag
Sowing seeds of Love on Fertile Land

His big hands were eager
In both Caressing and Comforting

His crooked Smile
Brought out a 1000 Suns

And in Innocense
He brought Completeness

And we were uncomplicated
In a simple happiness

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
For years I abstinated from any and all forms of love. A man entered my life and gave me all that I needed just to turn around leave me. At the same time his brother went through a similar experience and someway somehow we ended up supporing one another. And then we found each other and grew closer and closer without the pressure of a relationship, just by being ourselves did we discover a deep quiet love
