Destructive Truth Poem by Jann Aquarius

Destructive Truth

She might have said to me goodnight.
If I had not said the truth so right
I could still have savored her lies.
If I had not said the truth so right
Her touch sunk in my veins
In my heart she is the queen.

I might not have cried.
If I had not said the truth so right

I could still have cherished her lies.
That brought me a thousand smiles.
And help me forget for a while.
We could have walked a mile.
I should have never
said the truth and lied.

I should not have realized,
All the things that I long desired

Never thought it would cause pain to life
I could have lived a life away from strife.
It should have never end like this.
Never going to see your smile
Like how you do it at first.

The truth has find its way
To make it all end.
