Departed Hope Poem by Divya Garg

Departed Hope

Rating: 5.0

She left for heavenly abode
She left to never come back

When you fool her around
All her sanguinity died
When you played along
Incomprehensive of what went wrong

More vulnerable and frail she was
More impair and rut she was

Surrendered to the wind that blew
Perilous to the upshot that flew

Just could not handle it anymore
Just could not take it anymore
Play of yours injured her brutally
Fun of yours, ended fatally

Dazzling and beaming smile she had
Curve and giggles had fled
Everything has been fade
Life for her has been rave

Banter the faith, easy to raid
Mourning in peace, conviction bereft

Hold the ground, and she tried to stand
With the meagre strength, that is left
Lost herself in this worldly strand
Shaken faith, scattered hope
Killed inside, the burning hop

Not anymore, not any longer
Much has been sour
Much has been taken
Withdrew to give up
Withdrew to lose

Shielded from the worldly stance
Far away from the glance
On her own feet, Strong willed hope
Gave her one more chance.
