Demon Poem by bob barci

Demon

We all start off on the same boat, ya know.
Maybe at different ends,
but nevertheless the same boat, ya know.
But when the Demon calls,
he's got you in his clutches,
and you can't let go
you've got to go.
He's got you where he wants you, ya know.
You won't know he's got you
until it's too late, ya know.
He'll slowly drag you in
and let you see the fire.
He's the Demon, ya know
and he can do that.
When he calls you, ya know
you can't say no,
you've got to go.
He owns you.
What can you do?
You can pray, ya know.
It won't do any good, but you can.
You need help, ya know.
Who's gonna help?
Only one man will help you, ya know,
but the Demon will manage to get rid of him.
So, you're stuck, my friend,
stuck with the Demon in you.
The only thing I can say, ya know, is
welcome to the fire.
