Delilah... Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Delilah...

Rating: 5.0

She was: Contour and design;
A pristine white configuration of airs-affected;
Drizzled in reds of pretense...
Splashed freckles of disdain marked her;
A hedonist-personified;
Creature comforts and diamond rings hoped for;
Writing her life story-
In mathematical equation that no one understood;
Her heart was of chrome-hardened; callous;
Her Delilah hair suspect;
Her Midas Touch-Gold Plated...
Just another faux gem...
In the wannabe world
Of yesterdays yearnings for-
Celebrity and riches;
