Delight Of Slumber Poem by Rick Elpers

Delight Of Slumber

Violins play sweeping
Sounds that undulate
Causing my eyelids
to rise and fall with the music
Oh that grand feeling
Slipping in and out of conscience
Delightfully heavy I get
With each wave
Until I'm consumed
Finding impossible to defeat it
I surrender
And sleep.
