Debateable Point Poem by David Harris

Debateable Point

Rating: 5.0

I did something
I said I would never do.
I looked back at the first pieces
of writing that I ever wrote.
They were supposed to be
lyrics for songs.
As I read through them
I wondered what I was thinking of then.
They were so terrible,
but they were the first things
I ever wrote.
I was pretty naïve then
and had a lot to learn.
Whether or not I have learnt anything
is a debateable point.

David, we all have to start some where, you can start off a master you've got to learn that flair... Andy 1o

Patrick again beat me to my point....but I know practice makes you better...and we can only continue to grow the more we practice....I know I have grown as a writer just over one year at attempting and I have a long way to go...but as a friend once told me...it's all about the journey

An interesting glimpse into a poet's mind - written honestly and humbly. Don't be too hard on yourself David. I'm sure they're a lot 'better' than you give them credit for. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
